Far North Dallas offers residents a safe, suburban community with larger homes and yards compared to other neighborhoods. 

Estates West 

Estates West is located between La Manga Dr. to Arapaho (North & South) and West of Coit Rd. to Meandering Way (East & West). The homes for sale in this Far North Dallas neighborhood are a mix of homes built in the 1960s with pier and beam foundations or 1970s with slab foundations. 

Homes in Estates West are usually around 1,800-2,300 Sq. Ft. and range in price from $375K-$500K. This is a great area and community with an excellent elementary school, James Bowie Elementary, that feeds into Parkhill Junior High and J.J. Pearce High School.

Highlands North

Highlands North was once a cotton field, and now it is one of the most sought-after communities in Far North Dallas. It is located approximately between La Manga Dr. to McCallum (North & South) and West of Coit Rd. to Meandering Way (East & West). The properties in this area are primarily 1970s homes with slab foundations. 

If you are looking for luxury homes for sale in Dallas, TX, you will want to check out this area. The homes in Highlands North are larger, usually between 2,700-3,900 Sq. Ft. and range in price from $500K-$800K.  This is a great area with upscale homes that feed into James Bowie Elementary, Parkhill Junior High, and J.J. Pearce High School.

Brentfield

Brentfield is located in the area between La Manga Dr. to McCallum (North & South) and Meandering Way to Preston Rd (East & West). These homes were primarily built in the mid-to-late 1970s and early 1980s with almost exclusively slab foundations. They range in prices mostly from mid-$300K to as much as $1.3M.  

The Brentfield area has lots of various pockets of neighborhoods that all feed into the excellent Brentfield Elementary, which is very highly rated and has high academics. This is a larger elementary school that has a split elementary campus between primary (K-3rd) and secondary (4th-6th). Brentfield Elementary feeds into Parkhill Junior High and J.J. Pearce High School.

Spring Creek

The Spring Creek neighborhood is located approximately between Arapaho Rd. & Beltline Rd. (North & South) and Coit Rd. to Hillcrest Rd. (East & West). This area was built in the 1960s, and homes are primarily constructed with slab foundations but sometimes pier & beam foundations.  It’s a beautiful neighborhood with very mature trees. 

The elementary school is Spring Creek Elementary and is a great, highly rated neighborhood school. This elementary school feeds into Westwood Junior High and Richardson High School.

Prestonwood

The Prestonwood neighborhood of Far North Dallas is located between La Manga & Beltline Rd. (North & South) and Hillcrest to Preston (East & West). Homes in this area are primarily from the late 1970s or early 1980s and constructed with slab foundations. House prices range from the mid-$300Ks to as much as $1M. 

The elementary school is Prestonwood Elementary. The feeder pattern is Managed Choice, so elementary students can choose to go to Westwood Junior High (then Richardson High School) or Parkhill Junior High (then J.J. Pearce High School).
